THIS SIMPLE ADJUSTMENT HELPED 3 OF MY CLIENTS RANK TOP 3 IN GOOGLE MAPS:
First and foremost, building citations is the way most practices rank in the top of Google maps. That’s making sure your practice is listed on website like Yelp, Yellowpages, Apple Maps, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
But, here’s something that’s helped some of my clients hit the top 3 (in less competitive markets) by making one change.
Say you want to rank for “Moline Dentist.”
On your Google Map listing, edit the name to be the name of your practice “Perfect Smiles – Moline Dentist.”
So, you’re just adding the keyword you want to rank for at the end of your practice name. Now, you obviously don’t want to add a bunch of keywords because that would look ridiculous
But for local search, this will help with ranking in the maps section, and if you still don’t rank in a month or so, build more citations ☺
Hope this helps.
